Presidential duties 1. Run chapter meetings and executive council meetings. (Suggested: Perform a power point presentation for the chapter meetings and write an agenda for the executive council meetings to help run things more smoothly). 2. Keep all committees and executive members on track with their goals. 3. Complete a letter recommending goals for the upcoming semester to be accomplished by the chapter at the beginning of each semester to be submitted to each member of the executive council as well as the chapter advisor. 4. Membership in the fall – make announcements to classes (email, not in mailbox, or speak to each class), have an informational meeting early in the year, and in general promote NCPA. 5. Re-apply at Creighton University Student Activities Office in the Skutt Center to remain on the university’s active organization list. This is to be done early in the fall so NCPA does not lose their status as an organization, nor do they lose the funding from PHPSG. 6. Distribute New Independent National newsletter in the beginning of the year. 7. Obtain speakers for the general meetings (second half of the meeting) potential for PHA 500 credit. 8. Obtain national speakers with the funding from NPA - $1000. Invite faculty, the entire school of pharmacy, as well as UNMC pharmacy school to these events. 9. Host NCPA Headquarters members. 10. Communicate with various faculty and NCPA Headquarters staff (especially the Director of Student Affairs at NCPA) on behalf of CU NCPA Student Chapter. 11. Write Thank You letters to various people that affect NCPA. Namely, speakers, faculty that help, etc. 12. Until a chair is found for the newsletter committee, the president is responsible for completing this project.
