Meet with Dr. Yen Le Espiritu for lunch on
Friday, January 26th (12 noon – 12:50 PM) at Irma’s Bistro.
Dr. Yen Le Espiritu will be speaking on campus about race, immigration and U.S. Wars in Asia after lunch at 2:30 PM in the Union Pacific Room, so we should have an interesting lunchtime discussion.
If you would like to attend, please RVSP to me at ctrachte@creighton.edu by Wednesday, January 17th.
Lunch will be free, but you need to RSVP to be included in the reservations!

Reminder!
Dues to become a VSO member are $15
Some benefits of membership:
*FREE lunches at monthly meetings
*FREE admission to Tet (Vietnamese New Year celebration - worth a $12 ticket) dinner and festivities
*Opportunities to learn more about the Vietnamese culture, meet new people, do community service, and have a great time!
Please pay dues to one of the officers before or at the next meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 26th.
At least one VSO officer will be in the Hixson-Lied Science Bldg. Mutual of Omaha (1st floor HLSB) lounge every day next week (Mon, 9/11 – Fri, 9/15) to collect dues. Look for the VSO sign. Don’t forget to tell us your name so we can write you as paid!
Tutoring
* Great community service activity
* Tutoring middle school students in subjects such as math and science
* Only ~ 2 times/semester required
*If you don't have a car, we'll help get you a ride!
* There will be specific dates and times to sign up for at the next meeting.
